The Northern Ice Field is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It opens to the public this incredible scene presenting this program which aims to take in the heart of this white world with options up some of their summits like the Tronco Hill, the Mocho Hill or the Cristal Hill, a beautiful tower of ice and snow.

This expedition is a beautiful challenge for trekkers and mountaineers fans started seeking for more extreme and Patagonian expeditions. Facing the Terra Luna Lodge, this ice field route is carried out with excellent logistical support and safety while in constant communication with the base.



Day 1: Coyhaique/Balmaceda (In) - Terra Luna

Reception at Balmaceda airport.
We will start the trip on Lake General Carrera, the most abundant and largest lake in Chile. From here you can see the peaks of Mount San Valentin and San Lorenzo, covered with snow drifts and glaciers. Lunch.
Short visit to Villa Cerro Castillo, where the mountain village of the same name (reserve of 180,000 hectares) is located, and then we will continue with a visit, if possible, to the Capillas de Marmol, caves that bring to life three formations called The Cathedral (the largest), the chapel, and the cave. The existence of this great geological form is due to erosion from wind and water.We will continue the journey to get to the Terra Luna Lodge, located in Puerto Guadal.

Day 2: Terra Luna - Puerto Leon –Punta Camello

Transfer to Leones Valley (jet boat or vehicle according to season), trekking to the lake. Zodiac boat crossing of the lake and climb to Puerto Leon. We will start the climb to Punta Camello where we will enjoy a charming landscape: the mountains at the east of the Northern Ice Field. The scenery is stunning, with 3 glaciers falling from the ice field into the green waters of the lake. Lunch. Then you will begin to set up camp in front of Mount San Valentin, the highest mountain in Patagonia with a height of 4,058 meters above sea level.

Day 3: Punta Camello – Italian Camp


From Punta Camello we will beginthe ascent to the Italian camp.

Day 4: Italian camp - Ice field – Italian camp


Breakfast. From the Italian camp we will go to the Northern Ice Field to begin trekking on this and behold the magnitude of these gigantic natural ice buildings which stand out for their different shades ranging from white to a crystal blue. Possible ascent to Tronco, Cristal or Mocho Hill. Lunch. Return to Italian camp.

Day 5: Italian camp - Punta Camello


We will leave the Italian Camp to begin the return trip to Punta Camello.
Lunch. Set up camp in Punta Camello.

Day 6: Punta Camello - Puerto León – Terra Luna


We will start the return trip from Punta Camello to Puerto Leon. We will cross the lake in a zodiac boat. Lunch.

Later we will go trekking back to Leones Valley, observing this wonderful natural environment of Patagonia. Transfer to Puerto Guadal (jet boat or vehicle according to
season). Arrival to Lodge Terra Luna.

Day 7: Terra Luna – Coyhaique/Balmaceda (Out)

Land transfer to Balmaceda / Coyhaique to connect with your flight back to your destination.
