We invite you to join in on an exclusive expedition aboard the M / V Forrest, sailing through the fjords of Patagonia and visiting the Francisco Coloane Marine Park in the Strait of Magellan. This expedition is designed for nature and photography lovers. You will definitely have an experience that is full of adventure and wonder, as well as an opportunity to explore pristine landscapes visited by very few.

Itinerary

Night 1: Punta Arenas - Marine Park

The departure will be from the city of Punta Arenas at 6:00 pm., heading to our point of departure for Bay Race (50 km south). While the M/V Forrest starts navigating through the Strait of Magellan, welcome dinner will be served. Overnight on board.

Day 1: Francisco Coloane Marine Park

At approximately 7:00 am, the Forrest will lay anchor into Seno Frozen, on the south side of Santa Ines Island, with its imposing glacier. There will be a zodiac excursion at the foot of the ice wall and landing on one of its sides during the morning. During the day we will sail by Barbara Channel, around Carlos III Island and Seno Ballena, for sightings of whales and other species in the area.
This park is the first marine protected area of our country and “Francisco Coloane Marine Park” is named in honor of the lover of these lands. Here you will see wolves and elephant seals, dolphins, penguins, petrels, albatross, cormorants, and the magnificent humpback whale, the main attraction of the trip among other species.

Night 2: Marine Park - Punta Arenas

Late at night and while dinner takes place in the Forrest, we will return to Bahia Race. Early in the morning and after breakfast we will proceed to disembark and transfer to the city of Punta Arenas.
