Departure

Departure From the hotel to own Tour.

Republica Neighborhood

We will go along the main avenues of the city to visit the neighborhoods of Republic that was once the most elegant area of Santiago during the end of the 1800 and beginning of the 1900, we will see War Arsenals, Military Museum and Main Race Tracks of Santiago founded in 1869. The palaces of that era now became private Universities and Institutes.

Santiago Civic Centre

From there we will go to the Civic Centre, where the government Palace, La Moneda is located, Constitution square, Ministries, Chamber of Commerce, Court House, etc. We will walk to the main square and in our way we will visit El Mercurio newspaper old offices, Ex National Congress and Real Customs buildings all of them from the
1800´s. In the main square The Metropolitan Cathedral, City Hall, Post Office, National Historic Museum and Diplomatic Academy.

Santa Lucia Hill

Then on our way to Santa Lucia hill, where Santiago was founded, we will see The fine Arts Museum and at the footsteps of the hill National Library and National Archives.

Lastarria Neighborhood

This is one of the most bohemian neighborhoods in Santiago, and it holds an important part of Chilean architectural heritage. Its streets have kept their old cobblestones, but have also been filled up with restaurants, bookstores, design shops, cafes, and hotels. The beautiful Forestal Park is adjacent to this neighborhood, which comes alive on weekends.

Return to the hotel

After this interesting Half day, we will arrive to the hotel.
