With this program you will be able to enjoy the incredible scenery that the Norte Grande (Far North) of our country has to offer. This includes the town of San Pedro de Atacama, full of its ancestors’ history, culture, and architecture which have remained to this day. Other places include the Moon Valley, the highland lakes, the Atacama Salt Flat, and the famous El Tatio Geysers, which will without a doubt make this adventure worth while.



Day 1: Calama - San Pedro de Atacama - Kari Ravine and the Moon Valley

Reception at the airport and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Along the way you will see beautiful landscapes and we will then pass through the Cordillera de la Sal. Transfer to hotel. Time of departure for Death Valley and the Valley of the Moon is 4:00 pm. We first enter through a narrow road with high mountaintops, very similar to a canyon, and after a few meters we arrive at Death Valley. This place has beautiful shapes and colors where we can walk over the dunes between mountain peaks and ridges carved by erosion from water and wind. We then visit the Valley of the Moon. The valley has a depression with saline soil and is surrounded by small mountains with beautiful shapes and colors where we can walk and gaze at a geological spectacle with sculpted shapes resembling the surface of the moon. We will visit the salt mine named “Las Tres Marias”. Return time to San Pedro de Atacama is 8:30 pm. Accommodations.

Day 2: Toconao– Highland Lagoons –Atacama Salt Flat (Full Day)

Breakfast at the hotel. Time of departure for the Highland Miñique and Miscanti Lagoons. We will take the road to Toconao and we will make a brief stop to visit the main plaza and church.. The tour continues with a short visit to the farming village of Socaire. Then we will ascend the Andes Cordillera to reach the Miscanti and Meñiques Lagoons with a deep blue color and white shores. These are located in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Lunch in Socaire (traditional restaurant) We then arrive to the Atacama Salt Flat located in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. This is the largest salt deposit in Chile, formed into a depression with no water outlet. The formation of lagoons such as the Chaxa has caused there to be an abundance of bird species, especially flamingos. Return to the town of San Pedro. Accommodations.

Day 3: El Tatio Geysers & Puritama Hot Springs

Departing at 4:00 am, from the hotel to the Geysers del Tatio. We arrive at the geysers around 7:00 am. Enjoy a picnic style breakfast and a guided stroll through this geothermal field to see the geysers and pools of boiling water and mud. On the way back we make a detour to visit the small shelters village of Machuca, the attractive of this place are the home made empanadas, sopaipillas, skewers, coffee, tea or coca tea. Visit the Puritama Hot Springs and the opportunity to enjoy these warms waters that emanate from beneath the rocks and surrounding vegetation. After time to enjoy the facilities offered by Puritama we return to San Pedro de Atacama. Free afternoon. Accomodation.

Day 4: San Pedro de Atacama - Calama

Transfer from the hotel in San Pedro to the Calama Airport.

H/D Archeological Tour Quitor – Catarpe – Tulor

Pukara de Quitor is one of the most complete and impressive of these early defensive measures. Continuing through the valley we arrive at Catarpe, the Inca Administrative Centre.  Later we crossing the “Ayllos” or community farm areas, we arrive at Tulor, the site of the earliest known settlement in the area known as the “Aldea de Tulor” (It’s more than 2,000 years old) and consist of circular dwellings interconnected by common passages and patios.

H/D Cejar Lagoon – Ojos de salar – Tebinquinche Tour

Exit toward the Cejar salted Lagoon. This lagoon has greats beautiful turquoise color beauty with water of color calypso and surrounded of salts in varied ways. We continue to Laguna de Piedra quite similar to the place before. After a nice bath, we continue to Ojos del Salar Lagoon, two pools with sweet water. Not far away we find the Tebinquinche Lagoon, surrounding with a hard crust of salt.

H/D San Pedro – Petroglifos de Yerbas Buenas – Rainbow Valley Tour

 Along the route we will pass through an area of petroglyphs in a rocky sector called Yerbas Buenas, here we stop to admire the different type of petroglyphs, animal and human figures panels illustrates ancestral beliefs. Valuable information of 4.000 years of history. Walk around the area and continuo towards Rainbow Valley a hill set with multiple forms and colors like the green, blue, red, yellow.

F/D Geysers del Tatio –Caspana – Chiu Chiu – Lasana – Calama Tour

Enjoy a picnic style breakfast and a guided stroll through this geothermal field to see the geysers and pools of boiling water and mud. After we move to the area of the hot springs for a bath in waters at 40 ° C. After that we continue our trip to Caspana. The village is known for its typical terrace plantations and its native architecture. Then we keep traveling to Chiu-Chiu, a tiny village located at 33 km from Calama and with only 322 inhabitants, very well known for been founded by the Spanish. When crossing the Loa river we discover the Pukara de Lasana, a 12th Century fortress. Lunch on route.

Departure from SPA  to  Ayllu de Coyo where a  local guide from the Lickanantay ethnicity will take us to this ancestral track (Native Tourism). Every passenger will be given a poncho and  a llama (max 6 llamas) to get  immersed into the past. Along the way the guide explains the importance of breeding stock for the communities and the practice of “caravaneo”; also different aspects of Lickanantay culture, ancestral knowledge, medicine, archeology and andean cosmovision.

After a short drive we arrive at  an old  pathway that connected Calama with San Pedro de Atacama. This is the starting point of our two and a half hour walk around the Salty Range taking us to the heart of “Death Valley”,  we finish the hike making our way down huge sand dunes! This overwhelming panoramic view is guaranteed fun for everyone!

After a 30 minute ride to the Andes range,  we arrive at Guatín where we start our walk going down a narrow canyon, crossing various rivers and waterfalls. We invite those with good coordination and balance, have some rock climbing technique, and who are physically fit.

H/D Laguna Cejar Bike Safari

Starting from the On Safari Atacama base we cycle to the north side of Atacama’s Salt flat. It’s a 30 km bike ride on a nice path with an awesome view of the Andes and the Salt Range! We arrive at Cejar Lagoon, a protected area, where we walk around different lagoons and experience their salty waters, 7 times saltier than the ocean (very similar to the Dead Sea)! We can assure you that you will enjoy bobbing around like a cork!

Heading South from Atacama we arrive at the village of Toconao with it’s typical Ande’s style white stone colonial architecture, a breathtaking oasis in the middle of the desert. Then we continue to “Los Flamencos National Reserve”, and in the heart of Atacama’s Salt Flat, the incredible scenic beauty of the Chaxa Lagoon!

H/D Cordillera de Domeyko

We visit the majestic landscapes of the Domeyko mountain range west of San Pedro de Atacama, passing through the LLano de la Paciencia (Plain of Patience), the Atacama Salt Flat, and the Río Grande settlement that is nestled in a huge canyon. Then, we stop at the Yerbas Buenas petroglyphs, to have a look at the ancient drawings carved in stone by the “Atacameños.”

H/D Cactus & Machuca

We walk along the trail at the foot of The Andes mountain range, stopping at “Guatín” to observe a cactus forest dated over 500 years old, and up to 5 metres high! Then, we arrive at the picturesque town of Machuca, surrounded by wetlands with vegetation and wildlife, who make their living as llama herders.

F/D Cultura & Puritama Hot Springs

Enjoying the the trails at the foot of The Andes mountain range, this expedition takes us through a cactus forest up to a waterfall, then through the terraced crops of Turipite. We visit the picturesque town of Machuca, and the wetland “Bofedal de Putana” to appreciate its beautiful vegetation and wildlife. Finally, we arrive at Puritama’s Hot Spring where we enjoy a great lunch served by our support team.

On this expedition we visit Los Flamencos National Reserve in the “Gran Salar”, Atacama’s amazing salt flat. Imagine yourself driving a quad through the driest desert on earth, on your way to an unbelievably beautiful lagoon, the scenery is so incredible it’s out of this world! We take a  swim in this Lagoon, called Cejar, and float like a cork!.  *To drive you must have a valid driver’s license and be over the age of 18, while your  passengers must be 12 and up.

H/D Quad Salty Range Safari

Quad Salty Range Safari is a truly indescribable experience! It is geared towards drivers with previous experience. We will cross sand dunes, riverbeds, and steep slopes. It is a Safari full of adrenaline, with unique views of the Salt Mountain Range.

*Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be over the age of 18, while passengers must be 12 and up.

 Note: all Quad safaris require a standard driver’s license or the equivalent. also the pilot must be over 18 years old and backseat passengers from 12 and up.

Day 1: San Pedro – Laguna Blanca – Verde – Colorada – San Pedro De Quemez 

Departure towards the Bolivian border of Hito Cajon. First, a short stop at Immigration office of Chile and Bolivia, located at 50 km. Once at the border we change vehicle to a 4×4. Enter at the National Park Abaroa and visit the White, Green Lagoon, hot springs and Sol de Mañana Geyser field. Arrive at the Red Lagoon with an altitude of 4.000 Mts, hose white color contrasts with the reddish color of its waters, which is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae. The plankton rich lake draws a large number of endangered James Flamingos, which is another highlight of the lake, we find here around 30.000 examples. We cross the siloli desert where we find the stone tree. Lunch at Del Desierto Hotel. We continue our trip passing to Chiguana Salt flat, visit the Chiarcota, Honda, Hedionda and Cañapa Lagoon. Pass by TunTun and the Ollague view point. Arrive at San Pedro de Quemez and accommodation at De Piedra Hotel.

Day 2: San Pedro De Quemez – Salar De Uyuni – Isla Inkahuasi – Colchani

After breakfast visit the we head towards Uyuni Salt flat, on the road of Bahia de Mala-Mala we stop at San Felipe, Chiguan Pampa, galaxy and Devil Caves, continuo towards Aguaquiza, short stop at the museum of Chantani we find here the Coquesa Mummies. Enter at Uyuni Salt flat the world’s largest salt flat 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is a beautiful and otherworldly terrain. Incahuasi is an island located in the center of the Salar de Uyuni, contains limestone formations with remains of coral and shells and has a large population of cactus with heights up to 7 meters/22 ft.; Lunch. We continue to Colchani and transfer to the Hotel. Dinner and accommodation at De Sal Luna Salada or Cristal Samaña Hotel.

Day 3: Colchani – Salar De Uyuni – Hito Cajon – San Pedro De Atacama

Departure to San Pedro de Atacama. We discover a complete new Salt flat at the sunset. We take last look and continue towards Ojos del Salar, arrive at Colchani Village and visit his Salt Mine museum, magnificent works made by salt. We continue to Uyuni on the way we pass a number of villages as Villa Mar, San Cristobal and the train cemetery, after lunch in San Cristobal we head to Villa Alota, Siloli desert and appreciated for the last time the Red Lagoon, Hot Springs, Green and White Lagoon. Arrive at the Chilean border of Hito Cajon. Change vehicle and continue to San Pedro. Accommodation at choice hotel.

Day 4: San Pedro de Atacama – Calama

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel in San Pedro to the Calama Airport.
