The Elqui Valley is known for its vineyards and orchards, pisco distilleries, and colonial towns, as well as for having been the birth place and home to our great poet, Gabriela Mistral. For all of these reasons, it is one of the most-frequently visited destinations in Chile.

Itinerary

Day 1: La Serena

Transfer to the hotel in La Serena.

Day 2: Elqui valley tour (Full day)

Breakfast at the hotel.

We will start our journey by heading east towards the Elqui Valley. Once there, we will visit the sales hall for papaya products, the Puclaro Reservoir, the city of Vicuña and its town plaza, an artisan village, the Bauer Tower, and the pisco distillery where we will learn about the grape distillation process and enjoy their excellent varieties.

Next, we will visit the towns of Paihuano and Monte grande with its beautiful church and House/School Museum of our poet, Gabriela Mistral. Afterwards, we will end the tourby visiting the beautiful town of Pisco Elqui. Here we will see the church and the plaza, as well as different types of artisan handicrafts.
