Visiting the Colchagua Valley in helicopter is definitely aunique experience, where we will fly for about 40 minutes from Santiago to the Colchagua Valley, with a view of the most important vineyards in Chile.

Come and see this wonderful valley in a completely different way. Visit its adobe villages and go deep into the heart of Chile huaso (cowboy) country, where Chile’s customs and traditions have been preserved almost intact.

10:45: Departure from Santiago

For 40 minutes you will fly from Santiago to the Colchagua Valley, with a small flyover before landing in Viña Lapostolle or Viu Manent.

12:00: Private Tour in Lapostolle Vineyard

The Lapostolle Vineyard is a sustainable vineyard, where recycling, saving, reusing water, and energy conservation play a fundamental role in the production of a quality wine. During the tour you will visit the Clos Apalta wine cellar, which is dedicated exclusively to the production of the wine of the same name, and works completely through gravity at six levels, four of which are in the granitic soil of the slopes of the Apalta Valley, in order to provide an environment with naturally low temperatures for aging wines. This wine is a world-class icon of Lapostolle. The tour will last a little bit over an hour where you will be introduced to the world of wine making, culminating in the tasting of wines from Lapostolle.

1:30 pm: Lunch at the Vineyard

According to restaurant availability and advance reservation, this may be in the vineyard of Viu Manent (a la Carte) or in Lapostolle (four-course lunch).

3:30 pm: Guided tour of Viu Manent

This vineyard originates in family tradition and colonial architecture, where you can taste very delicious wines while admiring the landscape of the Chilean countryside. The tour starts at the reception desk, where visitors are greeted by a bilingual guide who will take them for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. They will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the vineyards and learn about the duties and lives of the people who work here, according to the season. The next partis the “Bodega” (wine cellar). Here we are going to have the chance to taste the wines directly from the stainless steel tanks while we learn about the processes to produce fine wines. The visit culminates in the wine shop, where besides tasting reserve wines, you may shop for some wine and accessories.
