This tour is an invitation to explore one of the most untouched and unknown corners of North Patagonia and the island of Chiloe. Tantauco is a private conservation reserve and without a doubt the most unexplored region of the archipelago of Chiloe. We will enjoy the exuberant evergreen forest, untouched landscapes, unexplored paths, anda great chance to spot the local fauna. Our guests will have the chance to choose among different activities to explore the area such as kayak, trekking, and birdwatching.

Itinerary

Day 1: Puerto Varas –Tantauco Park, Chiloe

Departure from Puerto Varas at 08:00 am. Stop in Castro for lunch and arrival to Tantauco Park at 2:30 pm.

Afternoon of Kayaking (paddling 2 hours, low difficulty) or Hiking at the area of Chaiguata. Sunken forest and Los Ñirres path. 6 kilometers of paths, low difficult (3 hous app.)

Day 2: Excursion / Trekking Chaiguata to Chaihuaco

Breakfast.

Hike from Chaiguata to Chaihuaco through a wonderful and exuberant untouched forest and lakes. 15 kilometers of paths, medium difficulty (7 hours app.)

For this day the length of the hike can be adapted to shorter paths if the travelers wish to.

Day 3: Return Tantauco Park – Puerto Varas

Breakfast.

Departure from Tantauco Park to Puerto Varas /Puerto Montt.

Arrival 5 pm. Lunch on own. (B)
